Nihat Bayir | Cubist Cardano

We weren't able to video interview Nihat and so went old-school with a written interview instead. Nihat is a talented Cubist artist from Istanbul. We love his very detailed and conscientious approach to art and are hoping to build up a big collection of his work. Read on to learn more.

Nihat works mostly in the Cubist and ArtDeco style.

Why did you choose Cardano to create on?

I chose Cardano as a content creator because it is less complex and has more features than other blockchains. I think it has a great community of artists and collectors.

What’s the one thing you wished you knew when you were getting started?

More information, but when you're not in it, it's harder to get the information you want because you don't really know what you don't know.

Tell us about yourself as an artist and how you got into the NFT space.

I started getting interested in art at a very young age and started to build my life around art. I went through a long development process and now I am here, trying to take my art further. My friend got me into NFTs because I didn’t know anything about them before.

Nihat has a gift for doing stunning eyes. This is a detail from Messy in the Cubist Cardano collection.

Your art style is mostly Cubist. Why does Cubism resonate with you? What other styles to you like painting in?

It's a great feeling to work in the cubist style. It was the best way to project a mental image of people's lives. You can add colors to their emotions, you can take their view from a different angle to a single angle. I also love working in artdeco,I already combine artdeco and cubism in some of my paintings, but cubism has always been the best way to do what I have in my mind.

How is Artano as a primary art-focused marketplace?

Artano is the best 1.1 art platform on the Cardano chain, unlike mint drops the work of 1.1 artists is more quickly available, but of course I think there is still a lot of room for improvement

How has NFT tech benefitted you as an artist?

I think NFT technology is great, it's very useful, I have the opportunity to show my art to the world. I can reach artists all over the world, I can meet them, I can learn their ideas about art. Everything an artist wants.

What are your plans for the future?

I have many plans for the future, but the most important thing is to leave my mark on the world.
